Barney Artist debut album, titled Home Is Where the Art Is, is made up of 13 tracks from the East London rapper, with guest features coming from Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei, George The Poet, Dornik and Emmavie. It is a strong sonic statement in the midst of the current hip hop culture floating from London.

Home Is Where the Art Is is Barney’s follow-up to his Painting Sounds EP, which dropped back in 2016. The 26-year-old rapper fuses 90’s era boom bap hip hop with jazz for a refreshing sound harkening back to legends such as A Tribe Called Quest or The Roots, and taking influence from the vibrant UK urban-sound scene. With a fantastic team of collaborators, Barney Artist first album is one of the essential releases of the forthcoming Autumn season.
