Melting Pot Music presents one of the most awaited pieces of 2023 - the extraordinary collaboration between the revered jazz hip hop producer FloFilz and the avant-garde quartet Bokoya and their latest album, Yurika. This musical rendezvous unfolded organically at Atelier 21 in Aachen, with no predefined goals, as the four members of Bokoya joined forces with FloFilz, a classically trained musician and jazz beat maestro. The result is a rich 19-track instrumental album named after the Japanese phrase for "beautiful lily," reflecting the sheer beauty that emerged from their collaborative creativity.

FloFilz’s dicography speaks for itself, but the german producer keeps reiventing his output, bringing classical training to the table, both as a TR 404 player and a violinist. Yurika is a musical tapestry that seamlessly weaves together influences of jazz, beat music, and experimental sounds. Bokoya, consisting of four jazz graduates and promising so much of good music for the future, infuse their improvised beat music with elements of Dilla, Kraut Rock, Ambient, and Dub. This work, set to drop tomorrow, is a really amazing auditory journey, not just an album but also a testament to the magic that happens when diverse musical minds converge to create something profoundly beautiful.
