Joining the Berlin-based Toy Tonics label, jazz pianist Joel Holmes and stylized producer Cody Currie are preparing the release of a couple of EP’s. The first one, New Chapter, is a delicious 4-track ode to the neo-jazz spirit. Combining jazz-funk with real musicianship, MPC grooves and live instruments, they reach a new and fresh approach on dance-music to deliver one of the best EP’s of the year.

Joel Holmes’ musicianship and instincts blend in a perfect way with Cody Currie’s unmistakable club-sound - now stepping away from sampling and working only with live instrumentation. Both living in Berlin now, where a vibrant neo-jazz scene is growing, Joel & Cody shared vibes with Toy Tonics head honcho Mathias “Kapote“ Modica. All three have their roots and jazz music, working on a common ground of ideas about how dance-music should evolve and could sound in 2020.
