Steve Mensink, the wizard. Urkelle, Felix Leferink, Frederik Eisink, Bobby Donny Soundsystem… Frits Wentink. The dutch wizard has been off the map for quite a bit, returning in style with a new 4-tracker titled BodoSound001 that showcases his pechant for details and groove. A couple of months ago Frits released a selection of tracks and jams created especially for the Bobby Donny Radio Show #30, which aired on Red Light Radio back in 2019. That compilation, together with BodoSound001 might indicate that one of the most innovative and talented producers in the European electronic scene is back for good.

Wentink’s return as Bobby Donny Soundsystem is composed by trademark textures (dusty grooves, fuzzy synths and drunk organs), adding layers of samples that help providing a kind of organic and peaceful backdrop - sometimes it seems that the EP was produced in the nature. BodoSound001 is available digitally via Bandcamp, courtesy of Frits’ own label Bobby Donny.
