Lost Sound Book is the mesmerizing debut from the China-born, and Nottingham-based, DJ and producer Guohan. Released by Running Circle, Lost Sound Book is an otherworldly inward journey, in which Guohan explores many different places and cultures, from hip hop to jazz, traditional music to everyday life sounds, documenting the moods and colours left out from today's society. The fractured rhythms and harmonies on these 16 tracks feel like a reconstruction of memories and missing links.

Guohan was born in Ningbo, China, before he moved to Nottingham in 2011. There, his dusty grooves and prodigious ears soon drew the attention of local pioneers like Crazy P, DiY and Mimm. He’s since worked on releases with Brownswood, First Word and Running Circle. Lost Sound Book is a proper introduction to his creative output that is both modern and mystical.
