Horizon is one of the records of 2021, comprising Jay’s most personal and versatile work to date - filled with warm, beautiful chords and riffs from legendary keyboards like the Fender Rhodes, Wurly & even the classic Vintage Vibe. Horizon blends aerial textures of ambient sounds, with Jay’s incursions into electronic jazz, deep house music, broken beat and funk. His signature deep bass lines are blended with jazzy breaks & percussion that makes this a unique and visceral experience - a meeting of ancestral African theories with Afro-American urban sounds. This experience of 16 tracks carries an emotional weight so particular to Jay Sound’s vision. It challenges us to dive deep into something - whatever that may be - that goes beyond music.
