Born in Tel Aviv to a family with Moroccan roots, the now Berlin based artist and producer J.Lamotta returns with Suzume; her second album release via Jakarta Records, following Conscious Tree. Recorded across the world that is Berlin, involving an array musicians from all around the globe, J.Lamotta’s new album sees her expanding her production repertoire by crafting a warm body of sound. There’s a live feeling to it like it’s playing near us.

Suzume is an open and honest project. There’s talent and virtuosity - in the compositions and performance of J.Lamotta and in all the musicians involved. With eclectic roots that can be traced back to Bill Withers, Sun Ra, Dilla or Badu, Suzume is a beautiful evolution of the neo-soul sound.
