Larry Quest, real name Julien Berland, is another talent that we’ve been showcasing here. Originally from France, he has lived in London and now resides in Lisbon. With a background as a trained keyboardist and a seasoned producer, Larry Quest's sound is deeply rooted in the history of Chicago house music. His latest EP, Austro, released on Percebes Música, is a testament to his love for jazz, gospel, funk, and soul, all woven together under a relentless electronic backdrop with clear references to rave culture and bleepy acid.

Austro EP features three tracks that highlight Larry Quest's talent for crafting deeply groovy and atmospheric tracks that pay homage to the legends of the genre while offering something new and personal. "Forest Jump" starts the EP off with a smooth intro before taking off into dizzying heights, while "Shoredance" bounces organ stabs with sharp snares and a thigh-slapping beat.
