Hailing from NYC’s club scene, Malik Hendricks has been making the rounds on production duties with a string of carefully composed releases on musclecars' Coloring Lessons imprint and on his own Money Cat Records - each full of gems mined on the line of deep house and deep listening. His debut on New York’s own Bliss Point is entitled Blue Flame and is composed by four smooth electronic diamonds and a remix by Amsterdam’s wonderkid Retromigration.

Blue Flame finds Malik in full control of his craft, offering an alchemy of warm, in-the-pocket house grooves, live instrumentation and sparse, soulful vocals that build masterfully toward dance floor catharsis. We listen and feel to an emotional record, filled with magnificently polished details and uplifiting grooves - able to maintain hypnotic and nostalgic properties that are so important in deep house music.
