Let’s restart all of this slowly. With a warm breeze flowing in from the hills of Rio de Janeiro, with a Cologne-based twist. From the vibrant Parisian streets to the heart of the German beat scene, emerges Midan, a talented 23-year-old producer making waves. This half-German, half-Algerian talent, now based in Cologne, has already amassed an impressive discography with releases on esteemed labels like Casual Low Grind, Mutombo Records, and Beat Jazz International. Now, under the Melting Pot Music banner, Midan unveils his latest sonic offering: Letter To Brazil, a heartfelt 17-track tribute to the rich tapestry of Brazilian music - channeling his deep appreciation for Bossa Nova, Samba, and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira).

Letter To Brazil isn't a solo endeavor; it's a collaborative work, featuring contributions from close friends FloFilz, Saib, Mr. Käfer, and LESKY, adding further layers of texture to Midan's already vibrant soundscapes. The album, available on both LP and digital formats, is further enhanced by a beautiful artwork from São Paulo-based illustrator André Cast, visually complementing the album's warm and evocative atmosphere. This release cements Midan's position as one of the most exciting new talents on the German beatmaking landscape, showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend global influences into a truly unique sonic experience.
