Courtesy of NBN Records, Onra and Pomrad join forces to present one of the most exciting projects for this summer: Swing Convention. Under the name OXP, the 14-track LP comprises an incredible number of all-star features. Devin Morrison, Ace Hashimoto, Domino, Horace Brown, T3, Reggie B, Grand Puba just to name a few… Influenced by a lot of those heores, the sonic signature on Swing Convention is reminiscent of old school flavors, but delivering a fresh sound. Following the collaboration on Onra’s Nobody Has To Know LP, back in 2018, the duo discussed the idea of working together in the studio by combining Onra’s production skills with Pomrad’s composition talent, blending similar musical influences and a strong love for old school hip hop and r&b. And Swing Convention reflects exactly that. Classic approaches with a contemporary sounds, conceptualized around the vintage synths and drum machines that marked the Golden Era of 90's hip hop, r&b and g-funk, using strictly analog gear to produce the album.
