Following up on the impressive debut With Love, From Glasgow, Rebecca Vasmant drops her sophomore project via Tru Thoughts tomorrow. Dance Yourself Free EP is comprised by a blend of live and electronic music channeling Rebecca’s passion for jazz and broken beat and giving continuity to her mission to promote the wealth of talent in the Glasgow music scene through collaboration and creation of a special brand of sound. Regarded as an important tastemaker, DJ and curator hailing from the UK, Rebecca Vasmant cements her status as an extremely talented musician and producer.

The linear notes on Dance Yourself Free point to the real life joy the creative process behind this work provided. That transpires throughout the four tracks that compose the EP. Working with a host of talented musicians, expressing fluidity of feelings into sound, Dance Yourself Free ended up being recorded in one session of a few hours. The project celebrates the freedom of being in the moment and forgetting everyday stresses and worries, incorporating a mesmerizing blend of the worlds of jazz and broken beat - sounding both early 2000’s influenced and contemporary.
