Louis Shungu met Chris Ferreira some years ago, when they sat together at sound engineering classes. The almighty ShunGu became a staple of the underground international hip hop scene and Ferreira is part of the Belgium club scene, known to be a go to DJ and resident of Brussels groundbreaking dance organisation C12. Their inventiveness results in Senga Ferreira and in the amazing Take The Evil Spirit Away, released by Trading Places Records.

Influenced by deep tasting flavors from Detroit and West London, the duo has enjoyed the free time from the year and a half of the pandemic, focusing their energy into developing a surprising piece of work. Take The Evil Spirit Away suggests a new-found deepness in us, sounding like a night ritual in which we disengage from our reality. The use of sample and the electronic music references in this project are expressed in a way that are beyond incredible, contributing to a singular record from the Senga Ferreira duo.
