session victim: 10.000 hours
Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling compose the renowned Session Victim duo, that has been an essential act of dancefloor oriented vibes. Our two paragraphs are too short to delve into their work with the detail it deserves, but their discography, going back to the last years of 00’s decade, has a grand total of 0 bad tracks. Via Toy Tonics they present us their latest offering which drops next friday - 10.000 Hours is a project comprised by four very different tracks that engages with our intellectual receptors, as per usual in Session Victim’s work.
The idea for an EP with Toy Tonics was first conceptualize when Freer and Reilling did a remix for the label’s boss Kapote. Mutual appreciation for each one’s work did the rest. Spending most of the 2020 craziness inside a studio, Session Victim’s 10.000 Hours EP testifies their increasing mastery of sonic compositions - most of the record was made by just the two of them completely being in the zone, except for “House In The Hills”, that started as a jam with friends back in 2019. Available on vinyl, this is another important project dropping on the incredible catalog.
