Led by the renowned hip hop producer Dr. Dundiff, SGJAZZ is a neo-soul/jazz group from Louisville debuting with their eponymous album, via Jakarta Records. Recorded in Dr. Dundiff’s studio room in 2018, SGJAZZ was made analog-to-digital. Influenced by the years when jazz and soul were beginning to mingle with hip hop in era-defining records, this project is able to sound fresh, contemporary, effortlessly.

Emerging from the sessions at Dundiff’s studio, SGJAZZ is irresistibly lithe and smooth, a blend of smoky neo-soul and jazz elements. Featuring J.Lamotta and K.Raydio on two of the songs, the sextet is able to expand their instrumental capacities, making the whole album open and welcoming. Released last week, SGJAZZ is available on vinyl.
