We have to place Stefan Ringer (a.k.a. REKchampa) as one of the most exciting names in the deep house scene at the moment. Dropping today, the last release from Quintessentials in 2020, The Difference offers up a loose and soulful take on MPC-made house full of deep tips and sci-fi tricks. Following a fantastic 2020, with projects being released via his own FWM Entertainment label, People Of Earth and Second Hand Records, Ringer keeps building up his reputation.

“Otw” and “Shakyabody” are a well balanced mixture of smooth and raw with catchy rhythms, subtle vocals, warped synths and dirty claps. Flipping up the record we find “Evolution” - an 11-minute long monster of a ambient-ish track that is deep and dreamy. Ringer is producing the perfect sound to reflect on a turbulent year and the perfect textures to feel this club melancholy that doesn’t go away. His trademark jagged and crunchy rhythm sections, topped with honey-drenched synths is always packed with personality and emotion.
