still moving: still moving

Nat Phillips on saxophone, Pike Ogilvy on drums, and Sam Bates on synthesisers and drum machines compose Still Moving, debuting with their eponymous album through Lanquidity Records (following the incredible response to their most recent project, Sun Ra - Live in Kalisz 1986). The four track EP draws from a wide pool of influences – touching on jazz, folk rhythm traditions, club-oriented electronics, and progressive experimentalism – generating an organic performance rooted in an intimate musical understanding between performers.

Pressing play on the first track is the start of a fluid journey through a distinct dimension, with sounds just as capable of provoking emotion and introspection, constantly moving forward, still moving. Reflecting the live improv nature of the project, Still Moving is a raw and dynamic performance with an experimental approach to studio production. A vinyl edition is available, as per usual on Lanquidity Records releases.
