zopelar: horizonte ep
All the way from Colombia, Nómada Records presents Horizonte, the new EP from São Paulo-based producer Pedro Zopelar, coming from a 2024 that definitely cemented his name in across the European territory. Under his Zopelar moniker, as well as through parallel projects like My Girlfriend, Sphinx, and L'Homme Statue, he has built an amazing discography, releasing music with established labels such as Apron, Tartelet Records, Mother Tongue, Royal Oak, or Techno House Connoisseurs. Horizonte showcases his distinctive blend of synth funk, deep disco boogie, and soulful house across five tracks.
The EP’s tracklist offers a diverse listening experience. The A-side begins with "Horizonte," an uplifting house cut characterized by its flowing chord progression, lush pads, and catchy bleep melodies. "Let It Live" follows, delivering a powerful deep house track designed for dancefloor impact, complete with a compelling saxophone solo. On the flip side, Zopelar presents "Pure Heart," a melancholic and deeply textured synth-driven jazz house piece, ideal for closing or opening a set at dawn. The EP concludes with "Venus" and "Serena feat. Pr.A.DO," two surreal, Balearic-infused summer house tracks that highlight the richness and warmth inherent in Zopelar’s compositions. Horizonte is available on vinyl and is another top notch record for both Zopelar’s discography and Nómada Records’ catalog.
