atsushi yano: whole rotta love
Francisco Espregueira
The mysterious Japanese producer Atsushi Yano returns to Omena Records to deliver his new EP, Whole Rotta Love. Following the 2017 Rottie Bites EP, also via Omena, and Stomping On The Verge, released by Let’s Play House, Yano’s new project maintains his excursions in jazz-flecked free form funk blended with trippy disco and afro.
Whole Rotta Love is made of four new organic & live-sounding percussion filled tracks, taking from Maurice Fulton, from Fela Kuti, from Miles Davis. The three of them on this imaginary jam. Another good moment of unconventional music provided by the one and only Omena Records. Available in vinyl.
