august '19: recap
Francisco Espregueira
After a two week hiatus, o sótão recaps on some of the best projects released during the month - and spirit - that ended yesterday. With no shortage of exciting music, the playlist of August contains 50 tracks focusing on artists we talked about and others that deserve a special note.
Jazz in the spirit and words of Tenesha The Wordsmith, with the fantastic Peacocks & Other Savage Beats; Honeymoon is the confirmation of Emmavie as one of the grooviest artists of the moment; the best underground hip hop hailing from the U.S. with SG JAZZ, Blu & Damu The Fudgemunk and Black Milk; dancefloor rhythms with eclectic influences on King Mutapa and Ross From Friends projects; ecstasy on Luis Radio collaborative work with Souldynamic; and one of the songs of 2019: Theo Parrish meets Lori, Silentjay, Simon Mavin, Perrin Moss and Paul Bender… the almighty Dego on the remix. Beautiful stuff. We groove to this.
