CCA x O Sótão present: Okvsho Live Experience

Tonight, at 9:30pm (GMT) on the Facebook page of Portugal’s main cultural source, Comunidade Cultura e Arte, and on O Sótão’s Youtube channel, we will have a musical moment of the highest karat.
Celebrating a year of partnership, CCA and O Sótão are pleased to present one of the most interesting acts in Europe: the Okvsho Live Experience. This exclusive session is one of the first video recordings of the band playing live and it is with great honor that we share it with you. Mixing jazz textures, hip hop and electronic music, the Okvsho Live Experience provides a studio session with a jam spirit, featuring 15 minutes of pure magic.
A few years ago the Okvsho brothers promised to be what they are today. The transition from room productions based on well-chosen samples and loops to compositions created entirely in the studio came naturally. Effortlessly, reflecting the sounds they’ve been proposing throughout their discography, the Okvsho have gradually raised the level of the works they present. Growing up with Brazilian-influenced percussions, typical sounds from the Balkans, and including contemporary movements from around the world, they launched the promising Traphouse Jazz EP in 2018, demonstrating an appetite for a mix of tropical rhythms, dancefloor ideals and jazz music . This was followed by a debut album, Kamala’s Danz, released last year through Boyoom Connective, which deepens these ramblings and affirms them as one of the most interesting new groups on European soil. The final months of 2021 brought us Orange Wine EP, the duo's latest project, increasingly focused on organic musical languages — reflected in tonight’s stream.
