delfonic: delfonic edits
Francisco Espregueira
Coming up later in the night, Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic and his bouncy 4-tracker Delfonic Edits. Via Nómada Records, releasing their first volume of disco-afro-boogie-house edits, Delfonic pays homage to the roots of house music and to the the legacy of Black culture and Black music. Following incredible projects on labels such as OYE Records or Toy Tonics (in partnership with Kapote), Lindner once again shares his deep knowledge and love for the scene.
Opening up with “Saturday Night Dance”, Delfonic takes us back to a ‘70s dancefloor, with strong strings, warm synths and catchy vocals. Next up, “Delfo’s Check” is a mesmerizing meeting point of boogie and soul music, in which feeling good is not an option… it’s mandatory. Flipping the record we find tributes to Afro and highlife music with “All Is Africa” and a Afro-Caribbean led percussion mixed with great vocals in “I’m Away”. All together Delfonic Edits is a true party record, for the true party-heads. Available via Bandcamp courtesy of the amazing Nómada Records.
