Stones Throw Records producer DJ Harrison ends the year with the Bandcamp-exclusive IndieGiver, that came out on Christmas day. Anchored on Harrison’s masterful chops with a heavy dose of psychedelic ’70s soul, IndieGiver offers a fresh batch of instrumental madness. The 12-track project follows two prior Bandcamp releases, LightPower and UntilThen…, the former arriving in January, the latter in August.
Harrison, who will be playing live with his Butcher Brown band, released his debut album, HazyMoods, with Stones Throw Records in the summer of 2016. No word on the sophomore stun just yet. IndieGiver might be a step closer to the soundwaves that he might be working on. DJ Harrison is one of prominent names of the contemporary hip hop-jazz movement. Available in digital format through Bandcamp, this is of the highest karat gold you will find.
