Worm Discs presents another exciting act hailing from the vibrant UK jazz scene. Based in Bristol, Dundundun are a band composed by a talented group of musicians that have spent the past decade touring the world and darkening studios with The Heavy, Alice Russell, Pete Josef, DJ Die and Dele Sosimi, bringing a rich heritage of sound straight out of their hometown. Featuring remixes from Ishmael Ensemble & Rebecca Vasmant, Dundundun’s eponymous debut EP is a short but tasty release.
Dundundun EP features two original tracks. On the A-side, a 2021 re-imagination of the Sun Ra classic "Love In Outer Space", complemented by a dancefloor-ready remix from fellow Bristolian Ishmael Ensemble. On the flip, the equally earthy and cosmic “Anansi” is a funky trip, later remixed by selector and Worldwide FM resident Rebecca Vasmant channeling its fuzzy Afrobeats and floating ethereal frequencies on her superb retouch. Gathering the admiration of some of the best British tastemakers, Dundundun are a band to keep under close watch. Dudundun EP is available on vinyl, courtesy of Worm Discs.
