The master Kaidi Tatham returns to 2000BLACK with another r&b and boogie offerings in his own distinct style. Following a fruitful 2021, dropping a handful of high-karat-gold EP’s, the amazing An Insight To All Minds and Find Another Way alongside Dego, he presents the four-tracker Galaxy EP featuring the beautiful voice of Lola Vialet, who soulfully sings about escapism and hope through the stars in the title-track. “Galaxy”, that is then flipped into an upbeat mix, sees Kaidi exploring mellower textures in his very intricate production work.
The B-Side presents two instrumental jazz-electronic dimes. “A Message From Above” sounds like the gods themselves have passed on a message to Mr. Tatham to tell us all. The sequences and its changes are brilliantly expressed, providing us with a moment of pure musical joy. The EP is signed off with “Ergonomic Structures”, delving smoothly into the sound of a hip hop 2 stepper for the head nodders. Via 2000BLACK, Galaxy is available on vinyl.
