Split into two 6-track EP’s, Lenson Piquet’s 12-track album Last Night A Dj Shaped My Life takes inspirations from the work of the man behind the productions - Markus Oberndorfer, an Austrian visual artist with a profound love for creating musical atmospheres for his audience. Both EP’s are case studies, that reflect upon his journey of 20 years.
Rooted in jazzy deep house vibes, the first study from the series is consistent throughout the six tracks, always transmitting a sense of this calm intensity, calm deepness. Although the palette of colors change from song to song, they all connect effortlessly. The second study is due to come out next month, and a vinyl edition might be available towards the end of the year.
