Marc Mac is back with the fourth and final piece of a series of short thematic EP’s that started in 2019 with AH-FREE-KA, followed by JA-MAYE-KA (2021) and BR-AZIL-AH (2022). Released by Omniverse Records, JA-PAN-AH is naturally under-pinned with jazz and funk textures and a hint of jungle in the subs, something that can be felt on "Kambei". 'Yasuke Soul" and "Tokyo Nightlife" feel like a head nod to Ryuichi Sakamoto. and Akiko Matsuura. This four-track is takes a journey form, so buckle up and get ready for a ride towards a cool and emotional paradise of rich instrumentation and unique stylistic approaches to Japanese melodies.
