With a hugely prolific output of over fifty releases, collaborations, and an entry on Fat Beats prestigious Baker’s Dozen series, Ohbliv’s latest release drinks from an eclectic choice of samples that are chopped and mastered right into his own art of beatmaking. Carrying a lot of familial pride and years of experience behind him, the new album is appropriately titled, Give Thanks.
The new project is a proper follow up to the Baker’s Dozen release, result of another fruitful working relationship with Fat Beats. Give Thanks is Ohbliv’s digging voyage into lost sounds, stretching his style towards different sample sources and different quality of samples. Through Fat Beats, the album is available in vinyl, for the pause-tape collectors out there.
