Following a year of 2023 that saw him release two wonderful & artistically very relevant albums - Soprem Bons Ventos (Soundway Records) and Un Nuevo Amanecer (together with Damián Botigué via Canela en Surco), Pedro Ricardo is back to his Hear, Sense and Feel Records imprint to present the second chapter of the Pedro’s House series. While Pedro’s House 001 was pretty much a straight-forward take on the energy of club music, drawing inspirations from producers like Glenn Underground and Pal Joey, Pedro’s House 002 is a more intricate affair.
Comprised by 5 tracks, Pedro’s House 002 is a hot and heartfelt ode to the hi-tech jazz universe. As per usual in his discography, we can hear scents that we usually don’t come across in electronic music, maybe deriving from the same influences that driven the creation of the records released in 2023. That is especially evident on “Solway System”, “28 or 5 to 4” and on “Maracuyá Matanzas”. The high-tech jazz is there, Detroit is also there, and his own touch - providing a rare type of deep house music. Pedro’s House 002 is available on vinyl, via Hear, Sense and Feel records.
