quantic: atlantic oscillations
Francisco Espregueira
The musical contribution, over the last decades, makes Quantic a name that doesn’t need presentations. The British producer is undoubtedly one of the most influential of his generation, exploring like no one else, different sonic textures from all over the world. Atlantic Oscillations marks his return, being his most cohesive and intricate album to date. Bringing together new players and concepts with a dance orientated sound, the album showcases Will “Quantic” Holland’s artistry and rare ability to intertwine the electronic with the orchestral.
After many highly praised side projects, Atlantic Oscillations is the first Quantic album under his main solo moniker since 2014’s critically acclaimed Magnetica. Relocating to Brooklyn, the record grew naturally as the artist grew to know New York City, featuring live musicians to replicate his infinite ideas. Taking its name from such a formidable weather force, the release aptly brings together Quantic’s global travels and the musical influences developed along the way. Released by Tru Thoughts, Atantic Oscillations is available in vinyl.
