Brookland Jams is the new sub-label from Dansu Discs, a reputable source for electronic music from around the world. More focused in jazzy and organic sounds, Brookland Jams first release introduces us to the Readymeal Band and their new Hyde EP. Composed by four smooth and well constructed tracks, this EP leaves us craving a little bit more from this, relatively new, act.
The Readymeal Band is comprised of three jazz trained musicians, including external artists and other talented musicians. That is more evident in “Here Again” and “Moving”, with the inclusion of soulful vocals in the band’s groovy instrumentals. “New Wave Dive” and “Welton Place” rely on the instruments only, showcasing a band that blends feelings of excitement and calmness with ease. Hyde EP gives you all the right feels. Available via Bandcamp, this record is a great debut from Brookland Jams.
