spaze windu: escapism
Francisco Espregueira
In a few days POSTPARTUM, a german underground hip hop label, drops the anticipated "Escapism", which it might be the best work to date from jazzy-beatmaker Spaze Windu. There's four tracks available for a taste. We hear the wavy horns and keys play while the boom bap beat blasts through. Infinite head nod...
There's a strong feeling of an invincible coolness in the third track "Reality". It is when we hear that "everything you see ain't always what it means" that the beat comes and fits in the mesmerizing melodies coming from a piano and a trumpet.
The snippet released last week unveils a little bit more of what's to come.
"Escapism" is available as limited marbled vinyl (250 copies), limited black 180g vinyl (150 copies) and stream/download on all known digital platforms. It is another instrumental hip hop piece of collection coming from Germany.
