Hailing from Italy, the Stump Valley duo pays homage to one of the country’s most interesting nightclub movements. They go back in time, to the early 80s to retrieve the sensations present in the legendary Melody Mecca club in Rimini. Melodj Mecca is the name of their new 12’’, deeply inspired in the record collection of DJ Peppe and in the club’s unique offer, mostly relying on Afro and World sounds, that attracted aficionados from every part of Italy like pilgrims.
Influenced by the incredible music choices of DJ Perry and DJ Meo, two of the early residents at the club, Melody Mecca became one of the epicenters of the Italian Cosmic scene from the 80s - proposing a different concept of the disco-funk groove, filling Italian dancefloors from the same era. This marking music mecca consistently provided an educating experience exploring new sounds and cultural takes on club music. Melodj Mecca is Stump Valley’s second chapter on their tribute to that era, showcasing a progressive and inventive disco-influenced deepness. 80s feelings shine in the duo’s productions, masterfully executed here.
