Approaching different interpretations and different corners of the deep house scene, Mate dropped a Various Artists EP that we we’ve been vibing to in this 2022-2023 transition. Created in 2019 by producer and connoisseur Rafa Santos, the Spanish label has been showcasing class all throughout their collection and has been cementing their status as a go-to label for the genre aficionados.
Composed by 4 tracks VVAA. Music Therapy Vol. 1, kicks off with Vick Lavender (that has dropped The Essentials EP recently on the label) delivering classy vocal vibes featuring David Glen - simply magical. Italian finest Reekee, which has just been released on Patrice Scott's Sistrum presents a fusion of electronica and jazz with solid and elegant drums. Shaka from Switzerland offers us the groove and house vibes straight to the dancefloor. Nicola Alteri, aka The Mechanical Man, brings broken beat with sharp chords and R&B vocals combined perfectly. Available on vinyl, VVAA. Music Therapy Vol. 1 is a top class 4-track compilation from Mate. We’ll wait for further volumes.
