zeitgeist freedom energy exchange: kreuzberg kix vol 1
Francisco Espregueira
As the club culture starts to see the light at the end of the tunnel, Secretsundaze’s brings the exciting Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange to remind us about the depths of the dancefloor’s energy. Kreuzberg Kix Vol 1 is a three track EP that is sustained by Ziggy Zeitgeist’s rhythmic consistency on the drums. He invites the soulful voice of Wayne Snow and the brilliant GE-OLOGY to help him deliver one of the best dance singles of this spring.
Ziggy’s impressive artistry is, once again, demonstrated by his ability to inject club levels of energy into his performance, bridging the gap between the jazz influences from his work in 30/70 and the broken-beat elements of Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange. He is one of the busiest and most interesting artists out of Australia right now. Kreuzberg Kix Vol 1 is noticeably more club-focused than Z.F.E.X.’s earlier output, perhaps due to the fact that it was written during a down week in the European nightlife capital of Berlin, while Zeitgeist was touring with 30/70 Collective in the summer of 2019. The three tracks that compose it come with a very unique energy that we can’t wait to experience in the club. Via Secretsundaze, Kreuzberg Kix Vol 1 is available on vinyl, appealing house heads and jazz folks.
