Hailing from Brazil and conquering his space as one of the most innovative electronic music producers, Zopelar once again graces the underground dance scene with exceptional sonic creations, marking another triumph for the Techno House Connoisseurs imprint. THC 006 follows the brilliant THC 303, his first landing in the San Francisco-based label released last year, and is limited to 300 vinyl copies.
THC 006 kicks off with "FalaSerio," propelling listeners into the acid jazz breakbeat stratosphere. With an audacious spirit, the track weaves, skips, jumps, and floats, enveloping the audience in its hypnotic journey while maintaining crisp highs and persistent acid distortions. "808 Dream" follows suit, living up to its name by delivering a mesmerizing, quirky, and jacking experience. Pads warp and drift, creating an immersive soundscape, while the acid elements worm their way into the listener's mind for an early-morning mind-bending excursion. "Acid 1" emerges as a peak-hour monster, an unrelenting and unwavering onslaught of acid squelches and percussionistic chaos. The EP concludes with a collaborative effort as Zopelar and fellow Brazilian artist RHR join forces on "Acid Republic," an epic acid techno driver that unfolds into nearly seven minutes of pure 303-infused techno hypnosis.
