Bernardo Mota is currently on a hot streak of releases. In October he dropped music via the reputable Tropical Disco, in partnership with Dan Be, and the end of the month will bring us a project through Miura Records. Just A Sip of Sun is his first release via the exicting Lisbon-based DVRST Collective, showcasing two tracks that represent two sides on his productions.
While “Sunny” is a signature Mota track, with joyful and energetic house textures, “Just A Sip” is a deep affair, focusing on a hypnotic bass section. The latter marks the producer’s incursion into darker soundscapes, absolutely nailing those rhythms. It’s a wonderful club rotator from the DVRST Collective, who prepares to drop a Various Artists’ release in November. Just A Sip of Sun is available for purchase and streaming.
Earlier this month Bernardo Mota joined forces with Dan Be, and released the fantastic Conga Love, via one of the most recognized labels of underground house music. Tropical Disco hosted the duo for a 5 minute ride into madness. There’s not many moments like the one when that conga progression opens up every single ecstatic particle we have inside of us.
