joint4nine: the house definition ep
Francisco Espregueira
We had the pleasure of having Joint4Nine hosting our Guest MIX #12 last month. His prolific work of the last couple of years has been developing over great doses of inspiration and a music knowledge that touches in many points of the electronic music heritage. That can be heard on his discography, on the Rush City side project with Jonahlo and on his latest record that just dropped via Morris Audio, adding south american house flavors to their artist roaster, with a strong three track EP from the colombian.
The House Definition EP, as the name suggests, is Joint4Nine’s take on classic house music textures, although never facing away from contemporary techniques and his own trademark sound. This is a proper old school house record, polished-ly heavy on its beats, basslines, samples, pianos and vocals. Through three tracks he takes into the depths of his productions, developing even further a palette of sounds that has been conquering us (not only us…). Joint4Nine is a busy man when it comes to music and his art will keep dropping and grooving. The House Definition EP is available through Bandcamp, courtesy of Morris Audio.
