bluestaeb: giseke
Francisco Espregueira
Leon Giseke, better known as Bluestaeb, is one of the leading producers of the independent hip hop scene in Europe. After the great success of the Rodalquillar LP, which was released in 2015 to critical acclaim, Bluestaeb has delivered several high-quality projects, both individually and collaboratively. His evolution, exploring different genres, learning new instruments and new ways to build his music, turned him into a multidisciplinary and mature artist, virtues that are evident in the new album of originals that comes out next friday. Released by Jakarta Records, GISEKE is an extremely personal album, which serves as a reflection on the evolution of Bluestaeb and has a true team of all-stars in the guest features: Mick Jenkins, Louis VI, Ric Wilson, Jerome Thomas, JuJu Rogers are just a few.
GISEKE is kind of a life project for the German producer. The album combines R&B, funk and hip hop productions with sharp lyrical contributions from some of the most promising vocalists of the moment, both on European soil and in the US. At the same time, GISEKE uncompromisingly embraces a concept of architecture and design in its visual construction. This LP, still with a lot to reveal, is one of the most awaited records of 2021. The sample available at this moment foresees that expectations will not be disappointed. Available on vinyl via Jakarta Records, GISEKE is available for purchase next friday.
