camarão orkestra: nação áfrica
Francisco Espregueira
Connection Paris-Northeastern Brazil to present Camarão Orkestra’s Nação África, founded in the rhythms of candomblé, in the drums of enslaved Africans, in a ritual that invokes numerous deities. Released by French label Favorite Recordings, the album pays homage to ‘70s psychadelic aesthetics while exploring Brazil’s irreplaceable musical heritage.
Composed by eleven musicians, the Camarão Orkestra collective embraces a variety of Brazilian music elements in their third LP. Nação África comprises seven tracks that will make your feet move, your hips sway. The sun sets, the day at beach ends. The music echoes and the slow evening migration from the beach will soon begin with the soft scent of a Brazilian night. Available in vinyl.
