Time To Play treats us with what we need. And that is ‘inside’ the five tracks that compose Midnight Love, the latest release from the talented Japanese youngun DJ Dreamboy, that came to our attention a few years ago with some cool tracks running on Salon’s compilations. This time around he delivers a delicious and complete work that showcases those Niponic deep house characteristics: minimalistic, intense, balanced, and dreamy. We do like that, no question about that.
The title track, "Midnight Love," is a true gem, further highlighted by a tough remix from Brazilian producer Zopelar. On the flip side, "Vibe" takes listeners on a journey from suspense to euphoria with its infectious kicks and acid arpeggios. The sonic adventure continues with "Dream Town," a track that maintains a softer profile similar to "Midnight Love." The EP concludes with "My House Style," a high-speed exploration of nocturnal Tokyo, featuring deep basslines, dreamy atmospheres, and a relentless rhythm. Midnight Love is a must-listen for heads of deep house and contains an irresistible desire for the ride to never end. It drops on vinyl next week, September 20th, via Time To Play.
