eglo records, vol. 2
Francisco Espregueira
Eglo Records has been an essential piece in much of today’s underground music scene. From House to Jazz, Techno to Garage, Broken Beat to R&B, the soul filled spirit of the label and its artists continues to push forward the lineage of left of centre underground music, whilst paying respect to its architects. To celebrate its ten year anniversary the compilation Eglo Records, Vol. 2 encompasses the works of many of its brilliant featured artists: Steve Spacek, Floating Points, Fatima, Dego, Kaidi Tatham, Henry Wu, K15 just to name a few. Looking back to the incredible Vol. 1 compilation (2009-2013) we see how Eglo has grew as a platform.
The Vol. 2 features 30 key tracks, summarizing the last 5 years of releases, alongside new exclusives and previously unreleased material. Through the careful curation of label boss Alex Nut the label has consistently introduced new names, as it has provided the perfect space for some underground legends. The eclectic tastes and variety of influences experienced through countless quality releases can be found right here. Selected material from the compilation is available on a series of limited edition 12” vinyl EP’s, housed in a special “10 Year Of Eglo Records” sleeve designed by Caterina Bianchini.
