Following 2021’s critically acclaimed FIELDNOTES EP, Ego Ella May continues to express deeply personal vibes in the second installment of the project. The self-released FIELDNOTES II, continues her explorations into the worlds of soul, jazz and contemporary r&b. While the first part honed in on May’s experiences during the pandemic, the second offering is all about love. Written in order of “how things seem to go for me,” according to the liner notes, the EP explores the different phases of love and romance.
Ego Ella May counts with special contributions in production duties, presenting five tracks composed by Blue Lab Beats, LVTHER, Dougie Stu, Beau Diako an Shivum Sharma. Her lyrics and vocal performance are sublime, creating a really intimate scenery for reflection and feeling - something that she’s always able to deliver.
