retromigration: green light ep
Francisco Espregueira
Released last friday, the inaugural EP from L.A.-based Healthy Scratch welcomes a up and coming Amsterdamer: Following up on releases through Haws, APRH House, Happiness Therapy, and GLBDOM, Retromigration’s Green Light EP is a smooth, jazz laden record of prime quality, setting the tone for what can come out in the future both from the label and from the artist.
Comprised by four house cuts, Green Light is made for desperate club-heads, although it’s possible to find perfectly polished elements that might suit other occasions. The grooves are on the point, the beats are bouncy, the night is deep and this is the sound that Healthy Scratch curates for us. Only on vinyl, don’t sleep.
